Special Olympics Initiative 2021

During the second quarter of 2021, the members and employees of ALLIANCE Credit Union generously contributed to a special fund designated for the Special Olympics of Texas. A total of $2,015.34 was raised and presented to the organization.

This donation supported the mission of Special Olympics, which is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

Special Note: This funding initiative occurred during the formation of the ALLIANCE Credit Union Foundation, and thus actually happened before the Foundation launched its role of service to the community. The raising of funds, however, was the nascent spirit of giving back that would become the Foundation's entire premise.
